Neil Wolfe Barnett’s work in the construction industry dates back to the late 1970s. His experience includes roles as a senior project manager, developer, and general contractor. Outside of work, Neil Wolfe Barnett has enjoyed activities such as skiing, traveling, and surfing. He lists Jeffreys Bay in South Africa among his favorite surf spots.

Often referred to in the surfing community as simply J-Bay, Jeffrey’s Bay is home to one of the world’s best right-hand surf breaks. The excellent surfing conditions in the area are the result of warm Indian Ocean currents converging with the Atlantic’s cold waters. Although surfing is great year-round, the best time for hitting the water in J-Bay is between April and September, when low-pressure conditions produce the area’s famous waves.

Surfers who visit Jeffrey’s Bay will have several great spots to enjoy. These include the following from the top of the point , Kitchen Windows, Magnatubes, Super tubes which is only suitable for the most experienced. Other spots include the less-crowded Albatross, and the fun, user-friendly Point section of the bay.
The main attraction at Jeffrey’s Bay, however, is Supertubes. Waves here are fast and long. As the name suggests, they also create big tubes that challenge even the world’s top surfers. Those who don’t quite have what it takes to hit Supertubes can see how the pros do it during the annual J-Bay Open in July.
